Companies can now register for VAT online. This greatly simplifies the registration process for VAT.
VAT Online Registration
It is now possible for companies to register completely electronically for Value Added Tax (VAT). The process has been simplified so that printing the questionnaire and sending it by mail are no longer necessary. Additionally, it is also possible to check if the prerequisites for accounting for VAT are met.
For the online registration of VAT, you need the following documents:
- Information about the company, such as commercial register excerpt and the UID number (company identification number)
- If your company is structured as a sole proprietorship, association, foundation, or simple partnership, the social security number is required
- For the first fiscal year, a revenue forecast must be submitted. For existing companies, the balance sheet and income statement of the last up to six fiscal years are required
- For foreign companies, the data of the tax representative is needed to fill out the power of attorney
